Sleep Talking Time

Haven't blogged in ages because I've been working on some new stuff that I wanted to keep a secret for my boyfriends birthday.  He is now successfully one year older than he was last year so I can show you what I've done.  To understand you may need to know that I tend to sleep talk...it's one of my boyfriends favourite things about me. I plan on making an entire series as the random night time shouting includes such treats as 'LOOK HOW FURRY HE IS' and 'HOW MANY CHICKENS CAN YOU FIT IN A PANTHER'S MOUTH?' really lend themselves pretty well to a little bit of illustration. My friend Howie wants a beagle, he wants to call him Jeremy.  I drew him a Jeremy Beagle for his birthday today, he was so happy he sat on my lap and gave me a hug.  Happy Birthday HOWIE xx

Shoe shop

So I haven't blogged for ages but I have been doing some work, I've started a little shoe shop collection, would quite like to run with this, make some keyrings and do some screen printing etc...have a look

This is Kevin, am thinking of doing  collection of simple drawings and naming them. Kev is a bit bigger than this but couldn't fit him all in.

A while ago I went to Rarotonga to work as a vet nurse in a voluntary clinic, there were so many beautiful animals there.  This picture is of Lucky aka 'Luck Dragon', he'd been hit by a car twice so we'd sewed him up and somebody then donated a load of old clothes.  Being an island there were a lot of hawaain shirts in there, perfect to protect Luckys wound and to be honest they made him look pretty stylish.  I'd like to do a lot more drawings of the animals from Raro and possibly make a calender to try to raise money for the clinic.  

CHILLIDOG

I may have mentioned my love of dogs (I don't trust a person that doesn't like a dog).  Here's a picture I did of my best friends dog Chilli.  Used pen, pencil and ink and like the effect it gave.

Remember When Collection

I did a collection of cards for a company called The Little Dog Laughed, they had a spin off company called The little dog really likes and I was one of the first designers to do a collection for them, I LOVED doing this work, a lot of experimenting with different fonts and the wording was always funny and so true...check em out

A story about a frog that turns into a dog...that wears clothes

I was comissioned to illustrate a story for a dogs clothing company for their website, this is what happened...they never paid me, but I very much enjoyed doing it

So yes,  after I left london I started up my own little business, selling cards, brooches, keyrings and gifty things, I went about it the wrong way and tried to start bigger than I was, I have zero business sense and didn't really have the money behind it to have it grow, but I think there is still some mileage in the products I made so this time I think I'll start small, maybe look into a market stall or craft fairs, have a look at some of the stuff and see what you think.....

and this one was about my trip to london zoo.......it was a rubbish trip as we didn't actually see any of the animals in the picture

So I went to uni and did stuff like this.......which I like doing, it's screen printed onto fabric them hand painted, then I had photos taken and made into prints........I like to collage different images together, this piece was about my trip to Africa

Hiya, I'm Casey....... this is my place, I want to use it to show some things I did, do and am doing, I graduated with a textiles degree in 2005 then decided that I wasn't a big fan of  being told how to draw.......so now I'm a veterinary nurse.....obviously........I miss general creativity, the days of filling a sketchbook and screen printing pictures of small siamese cats and creepy dolls (I had drawn them not just stolen weird magazine clippings) , thus I'm getting back on the artistic bandwagon if you will.......so bare with me.  I've never blogged before but I am a very big fan of dogs so I heard it was ok
